Aloha Church ʻOhana,
This week, our Lent Bookmark has brought light into our home by focusing on the GOOD NEWS of the gospel and the living words of Jesus Christ. It truly is the daily bread that gives our Spirit the wisdom, nourishment and health we need in our days and especially in this challenging time. I encourage all of you to stay plugged into His Word and active in your prayer life. The grace that overflows out of spending time with Him will bless everyone in your home and more grace will abound with one another even in these close quarters “stay at home” days.
Keep the Faith. Love one another! Do your part. Are you complaining about an inconvenience that will help save lives? Remember the Ultimate Sacrifice of Jesus Christ to put our obedience into perspective. Thank you Jesus. Practice discipline as you love your God and your neighbor. 1 Corinthians 13 puts it perfectly; “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.”

Aloha Church ʻOhana,
Kahuʻs message a few weeks ago highlighted Romans 8:28
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” The scripture can be difficult to imagine when one is in the midst of the storm and yet, the storms of life are where the Word transforms into faith, hope and love. Our faith begins to manifest and keeps us afloat and steadies our course. Faith alive helps us in darkness to see the light of hope, the day of healing, restoration and all things new. Thank you Jesus.
Letʻs continue to grow in our faith and be part of the healing in prayer and love in action. Letʻs be people of hope in the midst of this storm.
We will not be having services or any meetings at the church including hall and room rentals until further notice. Our fellowship has gone online. The Sunday sermon will be available on our website this Sunday at 9:30 or anytime thereafter and hallelujah… in video not just audible. Weʻre already seeing miracles!
We are also putting together a phone tree to ensure we are connecting with all of you on a regular basis with a phone hug, fellowship and prayer. Several of you have called to volunteer for pick up of groceries or prescriptions for Kupuna or those who need it most. If youʻd like to volunteer with the newsletter updates, phone tree, prayer team or shopping for those in need, please CLICK HERE.
While we cannot control events around us, we can control how we respond. We know that as we abide in Him and He in us, we can be fruitful for His kingdom. To that end, let’s continue to make healthy choices by eating healthy meals, getting enough rest, drinking water throughout the day and, most importantly, strengthening ourselves by studying the Word.
A valuable resource that is available to all is “Right Now Media.” This is a site that provides a variety of bible studies for all ages.
Click on https://www.rightnowmedia.org/ to access the library of studies. While they normally charge for these studies, they are offering a limited library for free during this time of uncertainty. It’s a great opportunity to do a study with your family!
Finally, Love one another! Letʻs do our part. Keep practicing healthy disciplines and be strong and courageous! Aloha nui loa
